Why Monitoring Is Not Optional
During a fumigation, gas concentrations must be verified during exposure. Any lethal levels must be confirmed promptly so worker safety can be protected during aeration. This includes clearance documentation which must be completed prior to re-entry.
EPA fumigant labels require monitoring while structures or commodities are “under gas.” OSHA requires atmospheric testing before confined space entry.
